An inhaler is a complex mechanical construction and there are several properties that need to be met during the development process:

The inside geometry of the inhaler must be adapted for each powder formulation to get the right aerodynamic properties i.e., how the powder is aerosolized at inhalation and transported from the inhaler to the lung.

the design is the essential element to meet this property.

Designed for manufacturing.

Inhalers are disposable items, thus manufactured in large volumes. It must be possible to manufacture the inhaler at a low unit cost and meet the large volume requirements for a popular product. In addition, the ambition at Iconovo is to add more product features for increased patient preference and meeting high quality standards.
